This CEU series equips behavior analysts to deliver ethically sound, research-informed services to adults with autism and other developmental disabilities across the lifespan. Part 1 translates a key research on adult ASD services into a practical, step-by-step process for evaluating whether a research finding fits a specific client, setting, and value system, and for designing small, data-based “practice tests.” Part 2 integrates these threads by guiding clinicians to create concrete supervision and programming changes that strengthen autonomy, honor assent, and move adult services toward more meaningful, quality-of-life outcomes. Part 3 grounds practice in current BACB ethics requirements around consent, assent, autonomy, and dignity, using recent literature to illustrate how these principles play out in adult residential, vocational, and community settings.
