In this session, we'll dive into the essential aspects of supervision within adult ABA services. Our focus will be on three key learning objectives that will guide our exploration. We'll identify the supervision CEU and training requirements set by the BACB for those overseeing RBTs, BCaBAs, and trainees working in residential, vocational, and community settings. We'll explore the components of a competency-based supervision system tailored for adult ABA services. These include setting clear performance expectations linked to adult outcomes, such as health, safety, and community inclusion. We'll discuss the importance of direct observation and behavioral skills training in real-world settings, as well as the need for thorough documentation to evaluate staff implementation and uphold ethical standards. Lastly, we'll develop a practical supervision routine applicable to contexts like group homes or supported employment programs. This routine will focus on enhancing supervisee skills while maintaining ethical oversight. Key considerations will include upholding dignity, ensuring consent, and managing risks in the lives of adults. Let’s ensure our supervision practices not only meet regulatory requirements but also make a significant difference in adult lives through meaningful, ethical engagement. This presentation is hosted by ACE Provider, Unified Visions LLC, and presented by Alina Heim. Unified Visions LLC is not affiliated with any other products or companies for this presentation. During the presentation there will be links provided to follow up CE events related to the IEP process and previous CE recordings by Unified Visions.
