This ethics-focused training examines how behavior analysts can operationalize autonomy, informed consent, and assent across assessment, intervention, and ongoing service delivery. Participants will distinguish consent from assent, identify observable indicators of willingness and withdrawal, and practice responding when client preferences conflict with planned clinical procedures or stakeholder expectations. The BACB Ethics Code defines assent as vocal or nonvocal behavior indicating willingness to participate for individuals who cannot legally provide informed consent, and it requires behavior analysts to obtain and document consent and obtain assent when applicable
